Looking for my waist: Are You Losing Weight?

If you have been following my Looking for My Waist blog, then you know I am having just as much problems losing weight as the next person. I started out actually gaining weight before ever losing a pound, and then I had many excuses to not exercise. Well I am happy to announce that I have had a much better week. Not only have I lost a pound in the last week, but also I have lost many inches, and I am hearing those four words every dieter wants to hear: Are you losing weight? Outwardly I reply, “I’m trying”, … Continue reading

Looking for My Waist… Seriously

I feel like I have been playing at losing weight. I’m on board one day. I’m weak the next. The next day, I am good again. It is time to get serious. Excuses like I made last week, have to be a thing of the past. Procrastination is not my friend. A bad mood is not a good reason to overdose on chocolate. In laws visiting (actually relocating locally): My in-laws have been here finalizing the details on their dream home, which are a few miles from our house. They are retiring and leaving New York. This week I lost some of my … Continue reading

I’m Not Pregnant, I’m Fat

I assume when people see me they can tell I’m overweight. For this reason it blows me away when I get questioned about being pregnant. Do I really look pregnant? Can’t people tell the difference? I remember when I was very young I was at my grandma’s home. Her neighbor who was very heavy had just left for her house. I asked my grandma if the lady was pregnant. I remember her telling me she was so glad I asked then and not while the lady was standing there. She explained the lady was overweight and we should never ask … Continue reading

Looking For My Waist : Guest Blogger Introduction

Hello, my name is Andrea and I am looking for my waist. Have you seen it? I am a homeschool blogger for families.com and will be doing some guest blogging in weight loss. I am 38 ½ years old, and hope to drop 100 pounds by the time I turn 40. I also hope to walk a marathon on or near my 40th birthday as well. I want to thank Cathy, the senior blogger in weight loss, for so being gracious in giving me free reign to “reveal my truths”. She says that writing in this blog will offer me … Continue reading
